Enjoy breakfast with homemade, handcrafted cereals, locally sourced fruit and a variety of hot drinks. The lounge and porch is available in the afternoon for guests to relax.  A variety of snacks available throughout the day and afternoon tea with family baked recipes are available for you to enjoy.  We are happy to make you reservations at our favorite local restaurants - Cardboard Box, Sweet Life, Slice of Life, Nancys and Linda Jeans which are all just steps away on the main street and harbor.  Our goal is for you to have an unforgettable visit and inspire you to book your next trip before you leave.

Guest comfort and relaxation is our top priority. Every room has high speed Wi-Fi, Air Conditioning, Bathrobes, Slippers, Premium bedding.  We have beach towels, yoga mats and beach blankets available for guest use.  Reserve early one of our beach wagons to easily carry your gear for a full day at the local Inkwell Beach .  We are proud to be the home of the Inkwell Writers series, where published authors will talk about their work in the garden with guests.  We are proud to support the long artistic tradition of the island and welcome visiting artists, writers and performers.  Our guest library with classic and contemporary book, as well as traditional board games are available for your enjoyment.

Martha's Vineyard island, and the town of Oak Bluffs has something for every one to enjoy - it is this diversity and community that makes this place so special . The Inkwell beach has daily beach yoga as well as a morning swimming club open for anyone to join.  We are happy to make reservations for private tours of the island, arrange bikes to be delivered or arrange for a special day of deep sea fishing.  Have the vacation that you are dreaming of, and let us help you design your perfect days on the island. Whether this is your first visit, or you have been a guest for many seasons, we want your experience to be consistently excellent.  Our staff is always on hand and available to help with any questions or concerns you may have.

Ginger joins us in the garden to discuss her book, and perfect beach read, "In the Heart of Texas".  Ginger, a vineyard summer resident will share her inspiration behind her book and characters.  Each guest will receive a copy of the book.  Wine tasting to follow reading and discussion. Please register your interest in advance.

Inkwell Writers Series: Bret Anthony Johnston

Bret Anthony Johnston is the author of the internationally best-selling novel Remember Me Like This, which was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers selection. The book has been translated around the world and is being made into a major motion picture.  Bret is also the author of  the award-winning Corpus Christi: Stories, which was named a Best Book of the Year by The Independent.

Power of Memoir: Caroline Clarke

Award winning journalist Caroline Clarke and author of the acclaimed memoir "Postcards from Cookie" will joins us in the garden. Caroline Clarke was born on Christmas Day, 1964 in New York City. As an infant, she was adopted and raised in the Bronx, New York. Clarke later discovered that her biological mother was Carole "Cookie" Cole, the daughter of the famous musician Nat King Cole. She received her B.A. degree in English from Smith College, and then earned her M.S. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
